Definition: Field Data

Field Data is data that is collected from real users rather than from a lab. Google is now using field data when assessing sites performance for Core Web Vitals.

This data is collected via the Google Chrome User Experience Report. Data is for things like how quickly the largest element of web page loads from real people’s computers when they visit that page and these scores are averaged and stored.
